We Are Connected – Civilian vs. First Responder Tournament

Our civilian adult league players faced off against our first responder team players in a terrific match in Jersey City on June 20, 2015.  Barce FC – a mixed team comprised of both civilians and law enforcement officers took home the championship cup, the big prize check AND the MVP trophy for the day.  It was a terrific tournament and certainly showed how the community and law enforcement can work together in a spirit of teamwork and fun competition.

OCTOBER: World Police Indoor Soccer Tournament

On October 7 to 11, 2013 the U.S. Soccer Heroes will again travel to the Netherlands to compete for the 2013 World Police Indoor Soccer Tournament title.  This is the third time that the team will participate in the event.  In 2012, the women’s team from the U.S. made it to the semi-finals – the first U.S. team to do so.  In 2011, the men’s division from the U.S. showed the best results of any American team in the tournament’s 29-year history.

In 2013, more than 196 teams from 54 countries will compete in this intense soccer competition.
