Event Raises more than $17K for Coy Family

Thanks to the tremendous generosity of the community, The Soccer Learning Center and the U.S. Soccer Heroes is pleased to announce that our campaign to help the Coy family has raised more than $17,000.  With a combination of a GoFundMe campaign, a 50/50 raffle and our pick-up game event, we were able to present the family with the event proceeds on February 15 – along with special gifts for the Coy children.

Hudson County Department of Corrections Officer Erika Coy lost her battle with an aggressive form of kidney cancer on February 3rd.  She was just 39 years old and leaves behind her husband, Joey, and four young children.

We’d like to thank Hudson County Department of Corrections Director Tish Nalls-Castillo, HCDOC officer Lakia Gaillard, our fantastic event volunteers and our wonderfully supportive TLSC family for their incredible generosity in making this fundraiser possible.
