You’re Invited

Friends, family and fans are invited to attend two big U.S. Soccer Hero events, culminating another great season of soccer in Jersey City.  All games are free and open to the public:

Fourth Annual U.S. Soccer Heroes Fundraising Tourney – Saturday, June 29 at 11:00 am

Every year, the U.S. Soccer Heroes holds an exciting, all-day tournament to raise funds to offset their international soccer competition expenses.  This year, the event will be held on Saturday, June 29th at the Ed Faa Turf Field, One Chapel Avenue in Jersey City beginning at 11:00 am.  Eight law enforcement and first responder teams will compete on the pitch to earn the championship cup.  Free to the public.

U.S. Soccer Heroes League Semi Finals – Sunday, June 30 at 8:30 pm

We’re down to the final two matches of the spring U.S. Soccer Heroes League.  The semi-final match will place the United States Police and Fire Games 2013 national soccer champs, N.J Guns and Hoses (pictured above), against their rivals, the U.S. Marshals.  The U.S. Marshals is one of the first USSH teams to successfully incorporate a large roster of women law enforcement officers onto their team.  This will be a very competitive match with two teams stocked with a formidable group of athletes.  The match kicks off on Sunday, June 30 at 8:30 pm at the Ed Faa Turf Field, One Chapel Avenue in Jersey City.  Free to the public.

U.S. Soccer Heroes League Finals – Sunday, July 7 at 7:30 pm

The winner of the June 30 match will face the Port Authority Police Department who beat out Essex County Corrections in a fierce 3 to 1 semi final last week.  The PAPD is bringing a strong team to the pitch and this should be one of the best matches of the season to watch.  The match kicks off on Sunday, July 7 at 7:30 pm at the Ed Faa Turf Field, One Chapel Avenue in Jersey City.  Free to the public.
