With just 42 days left until Coach Alex Lalaoui boards a plane to the Netherlands with five teams comprised of local first responders, a new campaign has been launched today to raise essential funding to help support the team.  Thanks to the crowd sourcing tool “GoFundMe.com,” Lalaoui began a month-long effort today in hopes of raising $10,000 to offset the remaining costs of team uniforms and travel expenses.

The WPIST organizers and generous U.S. sponsor, LoJack, have already funded lodgings and meals for the North American division which includes teams from New Jersey and Canada.  Lalaoui’s squad of four men’s teams and one women’s team are the only players representing North America in the WPIST games this year, the 30th anniversary of the world’s largest indoor soccer tournament for first responders.
