Young Officer Loses Battle to Cancer – Fund Drive Continues

Today we received the tragic news that Officer Erika Coy, a 14-year veteran of the Hudson County Department of Corrections in Kearny, New Jersey, has lost her battle with an aggressive form of kidney cancer. Just 39-years-old, Officer Coy leaves behind four young children and her devoted husband, Joey.

As many of you know, we had established a fund drive just last week to help the Coy family pay for six months of their mortgage. Today, that fund drive takes on a new urgency. We ask for any assistance you can provide as we work to help offset the costs of Officer Coy’s funeral arrangements and establish and educational fund for their four children.

Here’s how you can help:

You can donate immediately at our GoFundMe.com page

You can donate offline by emailing us at CoachAlex@SoccerLearningCenter.com

You can share this link on social media: www.GoFundMe.com/ErikaCoy

You or your team can register now to attend our 2/5 Memorial Fundraising Event

Erika Coy has touched the lives of so many of us. We thank you for remembering her hard work as a law enforcement officer and her loving devotion to her family.

Should you need any additional information, please feel free to contact Coach Alex Lalaoui at 201-920-8523 or Hudson County Department of Corrections Officer Lakia Gaillard at 973-491-2655.  Information on Officer Coy’s funeral and viewing are found here.
